As you apply for admission to the ÍøÆØÃÅ, use this detailed checklist to stay on track. A brief list of application deadlines is also available, but keep in mind that many departments and majors have earlier deadlines.
Before You ÍøÆØÃÅ:
- Explore our available majors, minors, and concentrations to determine if we have programs that fit your interests. Each program has their own webpage with helpful information related to requirements, career opportunities, deadlines, and contact information.
- Check to see how your will be evaluated and articulated. This tool will help you to see if your coursework will count toward meeting our requirements for composition (writing), mathematics, and second language proficiency.
- Complete a (FAFSA) [or (ORSAA) for students] as soon as possible after they become available (typically late fall), and before the ÍøÆØÃÅ’s priority deadline, March 1. If you submit the FAFSA after March 1, you will still be eligible for aid but will not be considered for some funds.
After You ÍøÆØÃÅ:
- Start filling out when they become available in late October if you would like to be considered for these awards. You will need to apply by accessing the , and we encourage you to explore the for outside opportunities to help fund your education. Please keep in mind that most scholarships require you to follow the priority application deadlines for fall term.
- Begin exploring your housing options to determine what makes the most sense for you. We have options for those wishing to , those interested in , and even an to help you get connected with potential roommates and vacancies in and around the Eugene/Springfield area.
After You Are Admitted:
Confirm your plans. Submit the Intent to Register (ITR) Form on your application status portal when it becomes available to tell us if you plan to become a Duck! All students must complete their ITR to accept or decline their admission for the term they have applied. Those students entering in fall term should complete the form along with your $200 advance tuition deposit (ATD).
. You’ll need your UO ID number and admission application email to choose your Duck ID and password. Your Duck ID is how you will login for most UO computing systems and is also the first part of your "@uoregon.edu" email address. Once you’ve claimed your Duck ID, be sure to check your new for important messages and to keep you on track with any next steps that get sent your way. To login, you’ll use your full "@uoregon.edu" address and your newly created Duck ID password.
Register for if you plan to live on campus. There is no universal deadline, and you can register as soon as you are admitted (and not before). Once you register, you’ll be able to make your initial housing payment, and sign your housing contract all online. Space is limited, so register as soon as possible.
Your financial aid offer will arrive around June if you submitted a FAFSA or ORSAA. Scholarships and grants are automatically accepted on your behalf. You can accept offered loans or work-study in DuckWeb.
Sign up for , the summer orientation program, by June 30. During this process, you’ll meet with an academic advisor to come up with a plan and get registered for your first term. If you were admitted for a term other than fall, sign up for when it becomes available in your status portal.
